Canada’s been sending some impressive bands across the border for decades, from Neal Young to Alanis Morrisette, and they look to continue this pattern with Indie Rockers The Damn Truth. If the name is new to you, then you haven’t been paying attention, because the the phenomenal vocal talent known as front-woman Lee La Baum has been tapped by no less than Yves St Laurent TV to be the campaign voice for their new perfume, Mon Paris, covering the U2 hit single “Love Is Blindness.” But if this is your introduction, then the music video for their newest single, “White Lies,” should immediately hook you. Soulful, gritty, and bluesy, “White Lies” is a delicious return to rock’s roots and a much needed redirecting of the genre.
The Damn Truth have also announced their first US Tour kicking off on the (Sold Out) Rock Legends 2018 Cruise (Sammy Hagar, Bad Company, Uriah Heep, and more) and will spend the next two months making friends across the U.S. with their high energy rock’n’roll.
