Sound City has also been confirmed to premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. The film tells the story of Sound City, the legendary Van Nuys recording studio, and was inspired when Grohl purchased the Neve 8028 recording console built in 1972 from the studio (and his personal connection to Sound City began in 1991 when Nirvana recorded Nevermind there).
The recording console is considered to be the crown jewel of analog recording equipment and has captured such artists as Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Cheap Trick, Guns and Roses, Fear, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, and TONS of other legends.
The film will be released in February after its debut at Sundance.

Thanks FooFanatic! Glad you enjoyed that story. Since you love Dave & the Foos - check out the live pics that were taken at Music Midtown in Atlanta this past Fall. http://www.rockrevoltmagazine.com/foo-fighters-live-at-music-midtown/ Enjoy!
Thanks! I didn’t know this was out yet! I’m so stoked to hear this music and then to go see the movie. I love Dave Grohl & the story behind this project is so cool. Anyway, I stumbled across your site from Google and you have a lot of my favorite bands so I bookmarked you guys and I’ll be back for sure!
