THE SAFETY FIRE UNVEIL FIRST STUDY DIARY FOR UP NEW ALBUM

SAFETY FIREIt was recently announced that London-based progressive metallers THE SAFETY FIRE had entered the studio to begin recording their forthcoming second album, and the band has revealed the first in a series of studio diaries documenting that process.

First up are the drums, which were tracked at Middle Farm Studios in Devon. Guitarist and producer Derya “Dez” Nagle had this to say about their time in the studio: “Calvin hit the drums a lot. We were all very impressed by how much and how well he hit the drums. He was very humble about the whole thing, but there was an overwhelming feeling that we all witnessed something very special. It was the start of a new movement, the humblist was born.”

You can see video evidence of Calvin hitting the drums a lot here:

It was also recently revealed that THE SAFETY FIRE would be appearing on BBC quiz show Eggheads, hosted by Jeremy Vine. While the episode won’t be airing until later this year, the band has posted the audition tape that they shot in order to participate.

The band’s currently untitled new release is being produced once again by the band’s own Derya “Dez” Nagle (guitar), who previously worked with Frank Turner (MONGOL HORDE), RISE TO REMAIN, and THE HAARP MACHINE.
