if you ever get to have a conversation with rick DeJesus of Adelitas Way, it won’t take long
to see that he is an artist who is extremely passionate and determined when it comes to

the music that he creates. the band was feeling the frustration of their label not having
their backs with the release of their album Stuck last year and decided to take control of
things themselves. they kicked the label out of the front seat of their vehicle and took
over the wheel, thus doing things their way. the result of that decision was a pledgemusic
campaign, a new ep entitled Deserve This out on March 17 and finally the control over their
music and vision that they needed. i sat down recently with DeJesus who told me all about
the problems with the label, taking back control and the future of Adelitas Way.
